What Fog Bubbles actually is
A bubble machine fills each bubble with low fog, so instead of popping into nothing they break into a small puff of cloud. On camera it reads as something between snow and smoke, and it hangs around long enough for a photographer to work with. It is also quiet, which makes it one of the few effects that suits a slow moment as well as a loud one.
When to use it
Your grand exit, and the last song. Fog bubbles are also the effect to pick when your venue has ruled out confetti, petals and sparklers, because there is nothing left behind at all. Pair them with cold sparks and your exit does double duty as the best photo of the night.
Will your venue allow it?
Approval is rarely an issue. The one thing to plan for is the floor: bubbles leave a light film where they land, so we place the machines off the walking path and tell your coordinator. On a polished or tile floor we keep them away from the doorway entirely.
Fog Bubbles questions couples ask
What are fog bubbles at a wedding?
Fog bubbles are bubbles filled with low fog, so each one bursts into a small cloud instead of simply popping. They are used for wedding grand exits and last dances, they photograph like a cross between snow and smoke, and they leave nothing to clean up. At Weddings Unlimited they are part of Magic Moments at $395.
What can we use instead of a sparkler send off?
The three most popular sparkler send off alternatives at Weddings Unlimited weddings are indoor safe cold spark fountains, fog bubbles that burst into small clouds as they land, and the 50 glow sticks included in the $495 Glow Party Bundle. All three work indoors, none of them need an open flame, and all three photograph better than a sparkler tunnel because your photographer is not fighting the glare.
Do fog bubbles make a mess?
There is nothing to sweep up afterward, but bubbles do leave a light film on the floor where they land. Weddings Unlimited places the machines off the main walking path and tells your coordinator, and on a polished or tile floor we keep them away from doorways.
How much do fog bubbles cost?
Fog bubbles are part of Magic Moments at Weddings Unlimited, which is $395 for special effects and lighting added to your wedding. They are also included in the Poppin Party Bundle at $795 with cold spark fountains and 30 no mess streamers.
