Galveston Wedding Photographer, Videographer & DJ at 1880 Garten Verein
The 1880 Garten Verein stands in Kempner Park on Avenue O, and it is unlike anything else on the island: an octagonal Victorian dancing pavilion, panoramic windows all the way round, a wood floor built for dancing and a stage at one end. The grounds outside carry mature live oaks and open lawn for outdoor ceremonies, and the building is air conditioned with a caterer prep room, so a Galveston summer wedding is actually comfortable. Capacity runs to 250, alcohol is bring your own, and tables, chairs, an arch and a day of coordinator come with the rental. We have photographed a wedding here and know how the light comes through those windows at every hour, and how much our uplighting and a dancing-on-a-cloud first dance add on that historic floor.
