Cottonwood Creek Chapel is the dedicated wedding chapel on the Cottonwood Creek campus in Allen, off the Sam Rayburn Tollway north of Dallas. It seats up to three hundred under a beamed wood ceiling with stone walls and clean contemporary lines, and the house lighting is even and controlled, which makes it a forgiving room to shoot in but a flat one if nobody adds shape to it. It is a ceremony only space, so receptions move off site and that drive has to be built into the timeline. The chapel also runs tight start windows, Fridays between 4:30 and 5:30 and Saturdays between 11:30 and 12:30, which means a Saturday wedding here is a midday light event and the portrait plan has to account for that. We have photographed and filmed ceremonies in this chapel.
