Galveston Wedding Photographer, Videographer & DJ at Grand Galvez
Grand Galvez opened in 1911 as the Hotel Galvez, Mission and Spanish Revival by Mauran and Russell, and it has been on the National Register since 1979. It was renamed Grand Galvez in 2021. For a wedding it gives you two completely different looks in one property: palm lined lawns with the pink facade behind you, Centennial Green and the Oleander Garden both holding up to three hundred, and then the Music Hall indoors, 5,550 square feet under crystal chandeliers with the original historic Galvez bar moved in from the Old Galveston Club. There are 226 guest rooms, so getting ready, the room block and the whole weekend stay on site. We have photographed, filmed, DJed and run photo booths here. The Gulf wind is the one thing everyone underestimates, and it decides veil, drapery and outdoor audio.
