Lucky Arrow Retreat on Bell Springs Road in Dripping Springs is a wedding venue and a hotel at the same time, and that is its real advantage: it sleeps up to 134 guests on site, so the weekend does not end when the reception does. Ceremonies run on The Overlook with the Hill Country falling away behind, or in the Tree Grove under festoon lighting. Receptions use the Sky Terrace, the Tree Grove or the Event Hall, with the Social House, beer garden, two pools, a fire pit, axe throwing and arcade games filling the rest of the weekend. A private gate opens onto Bell Springs Winery. Capacity runs to 175. We have photographed a wedding here and know where the Overlook light sits at ceremony hour, and how much our uplighting and a dancing-on-a-cloud first dance add in the Event Hall after dark.
