Mae's Ridge sits on 28 acres of Hill Country on Ranch Road 3232 outside Johnson City, and the modern white farmhouse at the top of the ridge is the whole point: the view runs out behind every ceremony. Couples get three ceremony options, the open ridge, the covered pavilion or the shaded Garden Grove, plus an indoor reception hall, a bridal suite and a groom's suite with a pool table, shuffleboard and arcade games. Pricing is inclusive, capacity runs to about 185, and cold sparklers are allowed where traditional ones are not. We have photographed a wedding here and know how the ridge light behaves through an afternoon ceremony, and how much our uplighting, cold sparklers and a dancing-on-a-cloud first dance add inside that white hall after dark.
