Prospect House sits on twenty private acres on Silver Creek Road in Dripping Springs, and it is the cleanest modern wedding venue in the Austin Hill Country. The building is by Texas architect Max Levy: 7,000 square feet of climate controlled space with white walls, hardwood floors, chandeliers and long runs of glass that put the Hill Country in the room. Couples can take the ceremony outside to the open site with the hills behind them or run it indoors in the Gallery when the weather says otherwise, with a breezeway, cocktail area, built in bar and two dressing suites in between. We have photographed a wedding here and know how that glass behaves at different hours, where the outdoor site catches the best late light, and how much our uplighting and a dancing-on-a-cloud first dance add against those white walls after dark.
