Houston Wedding Photographer, Videographer & DJ at Raven Lodge at Huntsville State Park
Raven Lodge sits inside Huntsville State Park on Park Road 40, an hour north of Houston, and it is one of the few genuinely historic buildings couples can get married in around here: heavy stone walls, timber framing and a broad terrace with an iron railing that hangs right over Lake Raven. Ceremonies happen on that terrace with the water and the pine forest directly behind the couple, and the arch usually goes at the railing so the lake fills the frame. Inside, the lodge is warm wood panelling, a wood floor and deep window bays looking back out over the water, which is where the reception goes. Being a state park it books through Texas Parks and Wildlife rather than a venue coordinator, so couples bring their own vendors. We have photographed, filmed and DJed weddings here.
