Houston Wedding Photographer, Videographer & DJ at Rockefellers

Rockefellers on Washington Avenue is the old Heights State Bank, built in 1925 to a Joseph Finger design, and the room still reads like a bank: coffered plaster ceilings, a carved monogram medallion over the old teller wall, rolled inscription bands around the cornice and a wraparound mezzanine that looks down on the floor. It spent two decades as one of the best known live music rooms in Houston, which is why the acoustics here are better than almost any ballroom in the city. Couples hold the ceremony on the main floor, clear the chairs during cocktails on the mezzanine, and come back to a reception that seats about 150 and holds up to 400 standing. We have photographed, filmed and DJed weddings in this room, and the high plaster walls take uplighting and gobo projection as well as anywhere on Washington Ave.
