Austin Wedding Photographer, Videographer & DJ at The Ice Plant Bldg
The Ice Plant Bldg sits on East Colorado Street in La Grange, between Austin and Houston, and it is exactly what the name says: a concrete ice plant from the late 1800s, left honest. Twenty foot ceilings, raw concrete walls and columns, vintage chandeliers hung down the length of the room, and a living greenery wall that most couples use as the backdrop for the head table or the first look. The ceremony usually happens indoors against a timber cross with the columns marching away on both sides, and the same room turns for dinner and dancing. It holds up to 250, with outdoor space as well and a bridal suite with a kitchenette and a free standing tub. Concrete this pale bounces light beautifully, so the room stays warm rather than cold once the chandeliers and uplighting come up. We have photographed, filmed and DJed weddings here.
